Building a new home or planning a renovation??

We have worked on many many new homes and renovations and never cease to be amazed at home little architects and designers take air conditioning into consideration.

It seems that air conditioning is always left to last and there is either no money left or a few dollars to scrape together whatever the cheapest option is.. This usually involves an air conditioner that is far too small for the space or a cheaper quality system.

People can be very shocked to learn that providing a reverse cycle air conditioning system throughout their whole house can be approximately the same cost of a bathroom. They can think of air conditioning as very expensive, even though they feel passionate about that amazing $1000 shower head they just have to have..

I also am always very surprised when people leave air conditioning their renovation till the week before Christmas when they see a weather forecast predicting a 40degree day..

People...newsflash!! We live in Melbourne and generally have several 40 degree days in summer and many 30+ days, air conditioning should be considered well before you need it and factored into the cost of the renovation from the very start.
